A STUNNING retreat in a Worcestershire village has won a prestigious award.
Ockeridge Rural Retreats in Ockeridge Lane, Wichenford, has won the award for the Best Glamping Site Award in the West Midlands in the Campsites.co.uk awards.
Staff at the family run firm are celebrating the latest accolade for the site after previously being featured in the Top 10 Glamping Sites in the UK by The Guardian.
A Campsites.co.uk spokesperson said: "Ockeridge Rural Retreats stood out with it’s luxurious finishings, great location, and incredible views from the private deckings."
The ethos of the site is to encourage guests to fully immerse themselves in outdoor living and embrace the countryside, taking a break from reality to enable people to disconnect from everyday life.
Tiffany and Elliot Hall, Ockeridge Rural Retreat's owners, said: "We were made aware of winning the award earlier this week, it is great news.
"We are delighted and proud that Ockeridge Rural Retreats has won this very prestigious award.
"This recognition together with all the wonderful comments we receive from our guests means that all our hard work over the last six years to make Ockeridge Rural Retreats the best most luxurious glamping site in the Midlands has paid off."
Worcestershire also picked up another award with runner up of Best Campsite West Midlands going to By the Red Phone Box in Tenbury Wells.
Martin Smith, the founder of Campsites.co.uk said: "Choosing gets tougher each year, but these sites went the extra mile.
"A huge congratulations to our winners, thank you for setting the camping bar so high.”
