A Malvern care home is asking the local community to spread festive cheer to its residents and staff by sending in Christmas cards.
The Springs Bupa Care Home hopes to boost morale and wellbeing among residents through this simple yet joyous tradition.
In a bid to foster a sense of belonging and community, the care home plans to display the received cards around the premises for everyone to enjoy.
Home manager, Lesley Work, highlighted the importance of this gesture for the care home residents.
She said: "Sending and receiving cards is a tradition that many of our residents love, so this Christmas we wanted to make them feel extra special by showering them in cards from people from all walks of life."
Ms Lesley further underscored the profound impact this initiative could yield for residents.
She added: "We know that receiving a card full of festive well wishes would really mean the world to our residents this year.
"It’s a small gesture of kindness which would have such a positive impact, providing them with a great sense of warmth, support, and togetherness - the ultimate definition of festive cheer!"
The Springs Bupa Care Home, located at 27 Spring Lane, Malvern WR14 1AL, is eager to receive Christmas cards from the wider community and aims to make their residents feel more connected during the festive period.
The care home provides nursing and residential dementia care to those in need and is always welcoming new residents.
