Worcestershire Children First Fostering has launched a new specialist fostering scheme.
For children aged 5-18 experiencing family difficulties, the initiative provides short to long-term homes, or a permanent family.
While residential care can be productive for some children, the company aims to make it short term or avoid it, moving them into a fostering family wherever possible.
Councillor Steve Mackay said: "We know that some children need extra care so we have developed Worcestershire Children First Specialist Fostering.
"The scheme is a wonderful opportunity for those with the relevant skills and experience to provide a loving home for a child."
