Sanctuary Supported Living staff have been putting their best foot forward to raise money for FareShare.
The business support team, scattered across various locations in England, have participated in the FareShare 500 virtual challenge that requires each person to complete physical activities in their local area, spanning over 500 miles in distance.
The effort is made collective by the passing of a virtual baton, recorded via photos and videos.
Aiming to gather a total of £500 through voluntary contributions, the team has set up a JustGiving page where people can support their cause.
Charity of the Year for 2023, FareShare, distributes food to those in need via shelters, food banks, and breakfast clubs.
The funds the Sanctuary staff collect for FareShare will also be matched by Sanctuary, doubling the total to £1,000.
Team leader Helen Harding-Bentley, head of supported housing at Sanctuary Supported Living said: "My team and I were very excited to take on this challenge and support such a worthy cause, while having lots of fun along the way.
"FareShare does amazing work to tackle food waste and hunger, and we are proud to be part of Sanctuary’s partnership with them.
"We want to thank everyone who has donated and cheered us on."
