A NEW date has been announced for Father Christmas to visit an area of Worcester after bad weather forced it to be cancelled.

It is expected to travel around Cornmeadow Lane, St Anne's Road, Gilmour Crescent, St Michael's Road, Philip Road, Elizabeth Avenue, Whinfield Road and Meadow Road.

Santa was due to visit the area on Monday, December 4 but the city was given a yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
Heavy rainfall forced the charity to cancel the event.
At the time, Worcester Lions said: “Due to the awful weather (which is not intending to improve) we have decided to cancel tonight’s sleigh around Claines.
“We appreciate that this is disappointing, but it really is miserable out there!
“We will look at Santa’s calendar and see if he can make another date this month.”
Worcester Lions said more details about the new Santa Sleigh visit will be announced soon.
Tonight, the sleigh will be at Dines Green's Green Hub in Gresham Road from 5pm to 6pm.
