A FAMILY favourite pantomime company will return to Swan Theatre with its 69th production.
Kays Panto will bring Rapunzel to life on stage at the theatre in The Moors, Worcester in January,
Rapunzel is Kays’ 69th production, specially written for Kays by Paul Tate.
Directed by Gail Moran and Cath Skyrme, it features talented dancers from Harlequin Stage School accompanied by musical director Andrew Easton.
Kays Theatre Group will take the audience to the village of Loose Laderhosen where an evil villainess has locked Rapunzel (Charlotte Hasnip) in a tower far away.
She spends the next 18 years waiting for her Prince Charming to come and rescue her.
One day, the handsome Prince Stefan (Matt Sudworth) has heard of a beautiful young woman with long, golden hair and how she is being held captive.
With the help of Dame Polly Pumpernickel (Rob Brown), Stefan takes on the challenge of finding Rapunzel to bring her safely home.
This twist on a classic fairytale promises to be "full of slapstick and true panto gags".
Rapunzel opens on Thursday, January 25 for 14 performances until Sunday, February 4.
Tickets for “Rapunzel” cost £13.50 each and are now available from Worcester Theatres Box Office at Huntingdon Hall, online at www.worcestertheatres.co.uk or by phone 01905 611427.
