A PE and science teacher from Cambridgeshire has been crowned the winner of this year's Great British Bake Off.
Matty, who said he felt like an underdog when he entered the annual competition, defeated fellow contestants Josh and Dan in the final, which was televised on Tuesday night.
The three of them went head-to-head in a bid to be crowned the winner.
Ahead of the final, which was televised on Channel 4 earlier this evening (Tuesday November 28), Matty said he wanted to “prove” himself.
“Approaching the final I just wanted to give a good account of myself,” he said.
“I never focused on the stage we were at, as I knew that wouldn’t be helpful.
“I felt like I was the underdog so wanted to prove to myself and anyone else that my place was valid with some final worthy bakes.”
The winner was announced at a garden party which was attended by family and friends and previous contestants.
