NIGHT shelters are available for rough sleepers in Worcester as temperatures plummet - and may save lives.
The shelter opened in the city last night and will be open again tonight as the cold snap continues.
Meanwhile, the public is asked to report if they see anyone sleeping rough because of the freezing temperatures.
A spokesperson for Worcester City Council said emergency accommodation can save lives.
Temperatures hit zero tonight & tomorrow, so the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated. Night shelters are open & our partners are getting rough sleepers indoors. Spot someone sleeping rough? Tell StreetLink so we can helphttps://t.co/XyiqWap9Gk pic.twitter.com/984ibQ2AeQ
