A barn filled with 150 tonnes of hay and straw caught fire near Droitwich.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Salwarpe at 5.45am today (Thursday, November 23).
A fire service spokesman said three Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews - two from Droitwich and one from Worcester fire stations - plus the water carrier from Evesham were in attendance.
“A single-storey barn containing around 150 tonnes of hay and straw was 100 percent alight,” he said.
“The building was attached to a single-storey storage unit, 40m by 5m, which was 60 percent damaged. A large marquee was severely damaged.
“The incident was sectorised with the fire fought using two main jets and one hosereel supplied from a hydrant.
“There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.”
