A THIEF who stole thousands from a city pub safe is due to be sentenced this week.
As we reported in March, Jamie King admitted stealing from the safe of the Cardinal's Hat pub in Friar Street.
After a dispute over the amount taken King, of Fortuna Way, Kempsey, later accepted stealing £3,350 when he was in the position of responsibility to bank the pub's takings.
The sentencing has been delayed a number of times and didn't go ahead on the last date it was scheduled to at Worcester Crown Court, November 10.
King is now due to be sentenced at the court this Friday, (November 24).
