THREE brothers will be taking the plunge and opening a new cafe in the city centre after a rollercoaster six weeks looking for a venue.
It will be a family affair at The Coffee Nook when Adam, James and Steve Law finally open the doors at the new cafe on Saturday, December 9.
It is opening at what was once home to bagel shop The Steamhouse, at 66 Foregate Street.
After a rollercoaster few weeks, the three Worcester brothers behind the business have been hard at work redecorating the venue and turning it into a coffee shop.
Adam Law said: "We have been talking about this for a long time now and we are so excited that this is going to be a reality.
"We have been getting a lot of positive early interest as well which has been good to see. It has been a real rollercoaster six weeks for us after finding the location and getting the keys.
"It is all very exciting."
The Steamhouse opened in December 2020 but closed "with a heavy heart" in August.
The Law brothers have enjoyed teasing potential customers with The Coffee Nook's new logo and the opening date.
The business has also been recruiting staff ahead of the grand opening, such as store managers, experienced baristas and trainee baristas.
Adam Law said: "A couple of months ago, my brother James and I were sat in a café in Manchester which was really nice, but the staff all seemed so miserable.
"We saw this and thought that customer service for us was going to be our key focus, and we have been looking to hire positive and smiley people for the café."
On Facebook and Instagram, The Coffee Nook has been teasing its opening with pictures of its new coffee machine and branded takeaway cups.
On the opening day, the owners have organised for a special painting to be commissioned to mark the occasion.
Adam Law said: "We are going to have a live painting in progress on the opening day which will be really cool.
"We have tried to source our ingredients locally as well, with some really lovely coffee coming from nearby in The Cotswolds.
"The café will be in a really brilliant location and we cannot wait to get started."
