ONE person had to be checked by paramedics following a severe fire at a house in Worcester.
Fire crews battled a blaze at a house in Tolladine Road, Worcester, yesterday (Saturday) just after 11am.
The fire broke out on the property's first floor and eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke from as far as Mulberry Terrace.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.15am to a property off Tolladine Road in Worcester.
"It was a severe fire at a domestic property on the ground floor.
"One person was checked over by paramedics."
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Worcester and Droitwich to tackle the blaze.
One eyewitness, Sara Jayne Davies, said: " I hope all got out okay. I could see the smoke all the way up on Mulberry Terrace."
