Two Worcestershire volunteer-led groups are amongst the recipients of an award from the King.
The King's Award for Voluntary Service is equivalent to an MBE, and the highest a voluntary group can receive in the UK.
The two Worcestershire recipients, JIGSAW and Ourside Youth Association, are one of the 262 charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups singled out for the prestigious award.

JIGSAW (Worcestershire Mental Health Relative & Carers Support Group), based in Worcester and Malvern, was founded in 1996 to promote mental health services awareness and empower carers.
Sue Nichols, Jigsaw's founder, said following the announcement: "We are so grateful and honoured to receive this recognition from King Charles III.
"Our team devote their time to supporting carers and promoting awareness of mental health services in our community.
"This award is a testament to their passion and dedication.”
The other Worcestershire recipient, Ourside Youth Association, based in Evesham, aims to aid young people in the community.
Founded in 2004, it provides a youth-led environment, offering free support and activities.
Carly Elwell, a founding member of the association, said: "Receiving this award means so much to us in recognising the passion and dedication of everyone who makes Ourside so special and makes a difference to so many young people’s lives."
Two volunteers from each groups can look forward to attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace in May and June 2024 along with the other recipients of this year's award.
The recipients are announced annually on November 14; the King’s birthday.
Created in 2002 in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the award's tradition has been carried forward by the King.
Anyone that wishes to acknowledge a volunteer group that goes above and beyond can forward nominations to the Worcestershire Lieutenancy (lieutenancy@worcestershire.gov.uk) or visit the award's website.
