A NEW flood alert has been issued for a brook near Worcester - as the UK continues to feel the effect of Storm Debi.

Flooding is now a possibility at Bow and Piddle Brook, with levels remaining high at Besford Bridge due to heavy rainfall.

As a result, flooding of roads and farmland is expected over the next 24 hours, and other locations that may be affected include Crowle, Wickenham, Peopleton, Pinvin and Pershore.

Fords may also be flooded, and further rainfall is forecast over the next few days which may keep levels high.
