AN axed route between a Herefordshire town and the city of Worcester could be revived – with talks between the council and bus companies about bringing it back.
The route between Bromyard and Worcester via Whitbourne used to be popular. However, in 2022 it was scrapped, leaving Bromyard with just two buses a day.

But in a North Bromyard Group Parish Council meeting in September, according to draft minutes, Pete Stoddart said: “The Herefordshire Council transport officer following a meeting with bus operating companies has informed me that pending final financial approval a new 420 route from Bromyard to Worcester, via Whitbourne will operate on Monday to Saturday.
"This will provide an hourly service and will be implemented before Christmas.
"A Department for Transport bus cap will be in force at £2.50 one way and £5 return.”
Herefordshire Council has been approached for comment.
