This act of remembrance saw a 'Poppy Train' collect additional wreaths at each stop en route to London, where they will be laid at the War Memorial in Paddington Station in an Armistice Day service today.
The Mayor remarked, "It was a great honour to join Worcester veterans in this unusual, but nonetheless solemn act of Remembrance.
"It is moving to know that the lives of Worcester soldiers who laid down their lives to defend our freedoms will not only be remembered in their home city on Armistice Day, but also in a service in the capital."
