A Worcestershire hotel has been named among 20 of the UK's best hotels, pubs and B&Bs that cost under £150 a night in a list by The Guardian.

Under the category ‘best for food lovers’, sits Brockencote Hall in Chaddesley Corbett.

In the extract from the new Good Hotel Guide, The Guardian has chosen “places to stay with great cuisine, chic interiors and scenic walks from the front door”.

The Guardian found that double rooms at Brockencote Hall cost from £138 per night for B&B while a nine-course dinner costs £85.

Visitors might think they have arrived at “a luxury Loire valley chateau” according to the newspaper.

The Guardian added: “There’s nothing too luxe about the price, though, with B&B from £138. Spend what you save on a nine-course tasting extravaganza in the restaurant, perhaps matching it with a flight of wine.”

Visitors who opt for a “normal two- or three-course dinner” could try something that features local produce such as the Worcestershire duck breast with confit duck hash and artisanal cheeses.

Those who stay at Brockencote Hall won’t be short of things to do with activities such as fishing or tennis. They can also enjoy a walk around the 29 hectares of land.
