A talented dancer from Worcester is one step closer to her dream after landing a spot at a top theatre school.

Lexi Lewis, 16, won a much sought-after place on the esteemed programme at Liverpool Theatre School.

This competitive programme, popular for contributing to the success of innumerable artists, eagerly welcomes Lexi, who was a former student of BOA Academy and Harlequin Stage School.

The hopeful youngster, who has been dancing since she was three, dreams of a future dancing professionally, possibly in popular shows like Blood Brothers, Wicked, or the West End adaptation of Frozen – productions all graced by the school's graduates.

Liverpool Theatre School Principal, Maxine Ellis, said: "We were blown away by Lexi’s performance during the auditions.

"She clearly has a real passion for dance and plenty of natural talent.

"As an extremely gifted young performer, Lexi is well deserving of a place on the elite dance training programme at Liverpool Theatre School."

Lexi herself revealed her delight on being accepted, and her anticipation of this thrilling venture.

She said: "I was so happy when I found out I’d been accepted onto the dance course at Liverpool Theatre School.

"My dream is to become a professional dancer, so this is an incredible opportunity.

"I feel very lucky and excited about my new adventure.”

The Liverpool Theatre School, which lists dance wizard Wayne Sleep OBE among its patrons, admits only the most talented students into its high-quality training programmes.

Offering Trinity and BTEC qualifications in dance, musical theatre, and acting, all courses at Liverpool Theatre School guide younger individuals for professions in the performance sector.
