THE following cases were heard at Worcester and Kidderminster Magistrates Courts. 

 

JACQUELINE RUSHER, of Caravan Site, Pinvin, Pershore, was found guilty (by single justice procedure), of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road/in a public place without due care and attention.

The 65-year-old committed the offence on January 29 in Pinvin, driving a Volkswagen Golf on Upton Snodsbury Road

Rusher was given five penalty points and fined £80. 

Magistrates also ordered costs of £110 be paid and victim surcharge of £32. 

 

JACK AWUYE-NORTH, of Albert Park Road, Malvern, admitted driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road / in a public place without due care and attention.

The 18-year-old committed the offence on March 19 in Malvern, driving a Seat Ibiza on the B4503, Leigh Sinton Road. 

Awuye-North was disqualified from driving in 56 days. 

The defendant was fined £120 and ordered to pay £110 costs and £48 victim surcharge. 

 

LEWIS CHURCHILL, of School Lane, Upton-upon-Severn, admitted driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road/in a public place without due care and attention. 

The 33-year-old committed the offence on May 14 driving a Hyosung GT on the A4104, Baughton. 

Churchill was given three penalty points and fined £60. 

He was ordered to pay £110 costs and £16 victim surcharge. 

 

LEAH HEALEY, 22, of George Street, Evesham, and MELISSA EDNEY, 22, of Anne Crescent, Evesham, both admitted assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm. 

The pair committed the offence against the same victim on November 11 in Evesham. 

Both were jailed for 24 weeks, suspended for a year and ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £185 costs, £154 victim surcharge.

Healey was ordered to pay £400 compensation to the victim, Edney £600.

PAUL JENNINGS, of Oldford Walk, Stourport-on-Severn, admitted criminal damage to property. 

The court heard the 40-year-old caused damage to a Ford Fiesta in Kidderminster on October 31 this year. 

Jennings was fined £307 and ordered to pay costs of £135, victim surcharge of £123. 

Jennings was also placed on a one year restraining order preventing contact with the victim. 

 

JONATHAN WYNN, of College Road, Malvern, admitted failing to provide specimen for analysis - vehicle driver.

The 57-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on June 10 - Wynn failing to provide a specimen of breath when required to do so. 

Wynn was jailed for nine week, suspended for a year - magistrates saying the offence was so serious only a custodial sentence could be justified in his case. 

As part of his suspended sentence magistrates ordered he complete 110 hours of unpaid work. 

Wynn was disqualified from driving for three years, which will be reduced by 36 weeks if he successfully complete a drink drive awareness course. 

The defendant was also ordered to pay £320 costs, £154 victim surcharge.
