ORGANISERS of a bonfire event say they are having to cancel a bonfire night this week due to safety concerns.
But there is hope it will go ahead on a new date.
Wildgoose Rural Training Fireworks Extravagance was scheduled to take place at the nature reserve and tea rooms home in Old Quarry Drive, Main Road, Hallow, on Thursday (November 2).
But the expected bad weather due to Storm Ciaran has led the organisers to cancel.
In a post on social media the organisers said: "Due to a bad weather forecast and safety concerns we have sadly decided to postpone the bonfire event scheduled for this Thursday."
The organisers have rearranged the event for another date.
Please note: We have been asked to point out this event is just for Wildgoose students and their families. It is not open to the general public.
