AN EXCLUSIVE food delivery app for Worcester has launched today - with lots of restaurants and cafes across the city.

Woo Eats is the new food delivery app that is set to take on names like Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo in Worcester and some surrounding areas.

The business is owned and operated by Jabba Riaz, who also serves as a Worcester City Councillor and is a former Mayor of Worcester.

Mr Riaz said that the app will be giving "fairer deals to both customers and businesses that use it".

He said: "I am delighted to be able to launch Woo Eats to the city of Worcester and its surroundings.

"After having talked to lots of businesses and residents it was clear there was a market for a local food delivery app that gave a fairer deal to both customers and businesses, with the added bonus of reinvesting some of the profits into grassroots communities.

"Which other delivery app does that?"

The app requires all of its drivers to complete a special course before they are allowed to work with WooEats.

Mr Riaz said: "We have also taken feedback from businesses who stated they wanted our drivers to have had basic hygiene training and I’m glad to say that all our drivers must complete a course before they sign up.

"I love Worcester and I am committed to ensuring that all in the city prosper. We have some fantastic opening offers on board so download the app now."

The logo of Woo Eats features three pears, which is synonymous with Worcester. Mr Riaz previously said that the app plans to reinvest money into local charities that will be selected by Woo Eats users.
