THE most crime-hit residential streets in Worcester can be revealed.
And the latest figures show crime was up in the city in the summer.
There were 1,158 crimes reported across Worcester in August, the latest month of data released by West Mercia Police.
That was up on the previous month when 1,115 crimes were reported across Worcester in July.
In further comparison in June there were 1,025 crimes; in May 1,069; 1,050 in April, 998 in March, 1,008 in February and 1,147 in January.
This means August was the most crime-hit month this year.
The data has been released by West Mercia Police revealing the number of the types of crime reported, as well as their location.
The most common type of crime reported in August was violence and sexual assault which accounted for 361 crimes.
Second most common crime type that month was anti-social behaviour with 225 crimes.
And third most prevalent crime type in August was shoplifting with 144 crimes.
In comparison to the month prior, in July, violence and sexual assault had also been the most common crime type with 371 of the reports.
Second was also anti-social behaviour with 202 crimes of that type.
And third most common type in July was shoplifting with 111 reports.
In August there were 48 burglaries including ones in Lowesmoor, Harrow Croft and Woodland Road.
There were 10 robberies including ones in Hillery Road and Honister Drive.
Drug crimes were reported in Church Street, Worcester Marina and Whittington Gate.
Possession of weapons offences were reported as taking place in Newtown Road, Bozward Street and Burlingham Square.
And public order offences were reported to have taken place in Turrall Street, Exeter Road and Cornmeadow Green.
