SEVERE flooding on a major road between Worcester and Powick is causing traffic tailbacks.
Worcestershire County Council's Highways and Traffic team are running traffic contraflow on the Eastern side of the A449 at Powick.
A picture taken at the scene shows the extent of the traffic, from Powick roundabout looking towards Cromwells.

The road is being kept open for now, but the River Teme is close to peaking, prompting the council to warn drivers to be safe.
