A POPULAR Droitwich pub has closed until January for refurbishment work.
The Castle Hotel Pub, at 73 Worcester Road, Droitwich, has closed its doors, and will not be welcoming back customers until the new year.
A spokesperson for Greene King said: "The Castle Hotel, Droitwich, closed its doors on Monday 16th October for a short period whilst it undergoes an exciting investment.
"The pub plans to reopen in January following the refurbishment to both inside and outside the pub."

On the Greene King website, there is a message which reads: "We are currently working on your new look Castle Hotel.
"We look forward to welcoming you back soon."

When you call the pub, you are greeted with an answering machine message which says: "Thank you for calling Castle. Unfortunately, we are currently closed due to exciting new refurbishment.
"We will reopen again in January. Thank you."
The pub once received a good review from the Worcester News 'Pub Spy', who commended it for a "perfect pub burger".
