A MIDLANDS brewery has agreed to purchase a pub on the outskirts of Worcester city centre.
Black Country Ales has agreed to purchase The Saracen's Head on The Tything, and if the purchase goes through, the pub will be fully refurbished.
Black Country Ales said it will be applying for permissions to fully refurbish the pub, and if agreed, it will reopen in spring 2024.

The Saracen's Head will close on Saturday, October 21.
Graham Manwaring, managing director of Black Country Ales, outlined plans for the pub.
He said: "We are really excited and are hopeful that this will all be confirmed by the end of the month.
"Our goal is to improve the pub but also keep it traditional, retaining the skittle alley and the function room that is currently there.
"Although it will not be a food venue as such we also want to have traditional bar snacks like fresh cobs and local pork pies."
Black Country Ales already operates The Imperial Tavern on St Nicholas Street, which was recently named in The Good Beer Guide for 2024.
Mr Manwaring said: "The Imperial Tavern was one of our 29 pubs that were named in The Good Beer Guide which we were incredibly happy with.
"If all goes well, this new location could be open by mid-March."

Announcing the news on Facebook, it said: "We are delighted to announce that Black Country Ales has agreed the purchase of The Saracen’s Head in The Tything, Worcester.
"Once the sale is completed, applications will be made for permissions to fully refurbish this unique pub, and if agreed, will reopen in Spring 2024."
According to the Black Country Ales website, the chain already owns 50 pubs across the Midlands and also has a range of its own beers available in its pubs, which are also available to purchase online.
If the purchase is completed, The Saracen's Head will become the 51st location owned by Black Country Ales.
Please note, the article previously quoted Graham Manwaring in good faith stating the pub was already closed. However, we have been asked to point out by the current managers that it is still open and will close on Saturday, October 21.
