2. Impasto

6 St Swithins Street, Worcester

The sister restaurant of the popular Olive Branch, Impasto serves up Italian dishes such as pasta and pizza in the cute and cosy restaurant.

One TripAdvisor reviewer has given it the ultimate foodie accolade for an Italian restaurant in the UK: "Downtown Naples…in Worcester!"

Others have called it a hidden gem given the fact it is tucked away in the city centre.

Another reviewer said: "It’s excellent, why haven’t you been, here take my car go now. food and service excellent, pizza is brilliant, coffee perfect."

3. Friar Street Kitchen

12 Friar Street, Worcester

Another foodie gem in Friar Street is Friar Street Kitchen which is usually buzzing with happy diners at lunchtime.

It's a beautiful, cosy restaurant right in the centre of this historic street. 

TripAdvisor fans call is a 'must visit'.

One said: "A wonderful find. Really enjoyed a very tasty meal. The small plates were perfect for sharing with a very tasty slaw as a side. Excellent table service. Will definitely return!"

4. G&Tea

45 Friar Street, Worcester

ANOTHER Friar Street venue makes it on to the list - G&Tea cafe with a perfect score of five stars on TripAdvisor.

Step back in time at this vintage tearoom which is a real treat - a great menu of sandwiches, quiches, jacket potatoes and cakes all served on old-fashioned china

It is a popular venue for birthdays and baby showers - but is a treat to visit at any time.

One TripAdvisor reviewer said: "Lovely traditional tea room. Great for lunches, tea etc. Lovely atmosphere and staff and keen prices. My savoury cream tea was the best I've experienced."

5. Anatolian Palace Turkish Mediterranean Grill Restaurant

Chapel Walk, Crowngate

This lively restaurant in Crowngate is a hit day and night offering up popular Turkish dishes in a busy food quarter which is perfect for people watching.

Earning a coveted five stars after 650 reviews is no mean feat, with one person saying diners get 'royal service at the Palace'.

Another firmly recommends it for lunch saying they enjoyed a "superb meal".

The TripAdvisor reviewer continued: "Lovely meal out with family this lunchtime.

"Chose from the £14.95 2 course menu and we were amazed at the quality and quantity of the meals.
