BOSSES at a Droitwich warehouse have reassured staff that there is no danger after a worker contracted tuberculosis (TB).
A worker has been off work due to TB at Amazon (DWR1) depot in Hampton Lovett, near Droitwich.
A spokesperson for the company has assured the case is a Latent TB Infection (LTBI), which is a non-contagious strand, and it is continuing to follow NHS guidelines.

An Amazon spokesperson said: “One member of our Droitwich team has reported to us they have a non-contagious TB infection.
"While this infection can’t be spread to others, the individual remains off work, and we will continue to follow NHS guidelines.”
Latent TB Infection (LTBI) is a symptomless strand of the disease which cannot be transferred from person to person.
According to NHS England, the infection usually affects the lungs and can be treated with antibiotics.
However, it can be serious if not treated. There is also a vaccine that helps protect some people who are at risk from TB.
Symptoms of tuberculosis (TB) usually come on gradually and include a cough that lasts more than 3 weeks, feeling tired or exhausted and a high temperature or night sweats.
