CUSTOMERS were trapped after a car was parked at the entrance of a city restaurant. 

Drivers were stuck in Hickory's car park after a white Renault parked at the entrance of their car park.

According to Hickory's, the car is still in the car park, but staff have found an alternative route for customers to enter and exit.

A spokesperson for Hickory's said: "People are able to get in and out of the car park and can access the site."

They added guests trapped in the car park have been able to leave because staff found an alternative route. 

One customer who saw the situation unfold said: "A car parked in the entrance to Hickory's main car park.

"People are stuck and can't leave, including a young couple with a baby.

"No one in the pub is the owner of the parked car."

"It's causing many issues."
