Traffic is backing up in a village near Worcester as roadworks get underway.
Temporary traffic lights are being put up in Droitwich Road, near the junction with Hurst Lane in Fernhill Heath.
Worcestershire County Council is carrying out work including footpath repairs, replacing fences, cleaning gutters and wall repointing.

According to the one.network website, “when footway cracks in [the] bridge deck are repaired, walkway to be provided in carriageway with pedestrian marshalls”.
The traffic lights are expected to be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm for the next three days (until October 12), but will be removed daily until work is completed.
