A new community hub that supports residents raising young children has launched in Worcester.

Little Lodge Nursery are providing a series of free events - from baby sign to first aid training - in a bid to support the community and parents.

"The aim is very much to provide support to our local residents and community in helping to raise young children," a spokesperson said.

"We understand having children can be daunting and our goal is to provide support during this nurturing phase of their lives, hoping to help fill gaps which exist in the current systems.

"We have planned and will be providing a series of completely free events including baby sign along training, first aid training and a fun summer festival all to be held at our sites in Spetchley and Bransford.

"In addition to these events, we will be launching an open information website to provide parents with advice and support resources."

Some 20 residents attended the first event - a full funded first aid training course - that was held on September 23.

The nursery say that received positive feedback both from residents on the local estate and praise from the parish council.

"The Little Lodge Community Hub is all about building a strong support network and fostering a sense of belonging among parents and caregivers," they added.

"We believe that by coming together, sharing experiences and learning from one another we can make the journey of parenthood more enjoyable and fulfilling.

More events are set to be announced soon.
