Cafe and restaurant Rise and Grind opened in Bishampton

Rise and Grind, a farmhouse-feel cafe which incorporates the great outdoors with food and drink, has opened in Bishampton.

The new eatery is nestled in the heart of nature and aims to get its guests to experience the great outdoors in the comfort of a cosy cafe setting.

MEET AND GREET: Visitors can look at reindeer. (Image: Rise and Grind)Located on Hill Furze Road, the new venue offers a play area for children and has reindeer for families to meet.

Rise and Grind welcomed its first load of customers on Wednesday (October 4).

Behind the business venture are Josh Palmer and David Sanders, who both had previously worked and run The Flyford in Worcester.

"It's been in the talks (for a while), and when we had it, it was just a concrete shell, so a lot of work has been done alongside operations.

Mr Palmer has been in the hospitality industry for nearly ten years after getting his hospitality and business management degree. 

YUM: Turkish eggs. (Image: Rise and Grind)The interior of the cafe resembles the outdoors, and an olive tree with seating wrapped around it sits in the middle of the restaurant.

It has an antique wood burner, an open-plan bar which flows into the kitchen and a birdbox roof which sits on top of the bar.

ACTIVITIES: There are many outdoor things children can get involved in. (Image: Rise and Grind)The cafe is fully licensed to sell alcohol and has a selection of IPAs on tap.

Along with its alcohol menu is a selection of homemade juices, including lemonade, and a cafe's standard tea and coffee options.

Rise and Grind offers a full breakfast and lunch menu, which Mr Palmer describes as having your traditional food and quirkier options. 

The cafe sits on 20 acres of farmland, encouraging visitors to explore the great outdoors.

Attached to the site is a new shop called Caribou, which sells a range of home and lifestyle items.
