A TOP-RATED Indian and Nepalese restaurant has revealed when it will open the doors of its second venue at a former pub near Worcester.
The Chef's Kitchen, currently rated the best restaurant in Kidderminster according to TripAdvisor, will open a new eatery and hotel at The Leaking Well in Dunhampton.
The restaurant, which will serve up Indian, Nepalese and some English food, will open officially on Sunday, October 15 at the former pub along the A449 near Ombersley.
Sharawan Bagoriya runs The Chef's Kitchen with his business partner and chef Laxman Gaire.
Mr Bagoriya said he aims to bring his 25 years and Mr Gaire's 20 years of working in the industry to the new venue on the A449.
The two will still run their Kidderminster curry house on Lower Mill Street, and The Leaking Well will be a second branch they are opening.
Mr Bagoriya said he had initially decided to open the Kidderminster restaurant after he was made redundant due to the pandemic.
"Within eight months of opening the business in Kidderminster, we had won the award for the best restaurant and have since become number one on TripAdvisor," he said.
"When you work hard and look after your business and customers, there is no one to stop you from getting to the top
"90 per cent of our customers are very excited to see us there.
"Most are aware we are opening a new place and have commended us."
The opening of The Chefs Kitchen did take longer than expected originally the team had hoped to open in the second week of September.
But they were delayed after needing to wait for work to finish on the brewery side of the business.
The team has worked on completing a small refurbishment on The Leaking Well's interior in the restaurant and the hotel.
According to Tripadvisor, The Chefs Kitchen ranks number one out of the 95 restaurants in Kidderminster.
The Leaking Well announced it had closed due to costs since November 2022.
In a statement, The Leaking Well said: "It is with a sad heart we have to say goodbye to The Leaking Well.
"We have closed down due to costs. We are grateful to all our loyal and lovely customers over the years and wish you all the best."
