Staff from Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust took part in the Worcester City Run to raise awareness of mental health support and highlight career opportunities within mental health teams.
Staff traded their uniform for recognisable NHS blue t-shirts, and included nurses, doctors, administrators, allied health professionals and more.
Among them was Leonie Harris, administrator for the Trust, who went from occasional jogger to completing her first ever 10K race.
Leonie said: “I prepared and trained using a couch to 10K app, and when the race day came around it was so much fun and had a wonderfully positive atmosphere.
"It was great to be part of and feel part of the running community, and I have already looked into signing up for another 10K race. I hope to continue this hobby as it has been so good for my health and wellbeing."
The Worcester City Run isn’t just about getting active, free places are one of the Trust’s great annual perks for staff. It boosts health and wellbeing, brings people together and builds camaraderie.
