A TROUBLED city firm looks set to go into liquidation, the Worcester News can reveal.
We previously reported D&J Timber Buildings was last open for trading on Friday (August 11).
A Forfeiture Notice from landowners Lansdowne Rodway Estates Limited was later posted on the gates of the Unit D1 site of the Blackpole Trading Estate East-based business.
It told the firm, which supplies sheds, garden buildings, landscape products, fencing, Durapost and decorative garden products, that bailiffs acting on behalf of the landlord had "re-entered these premises and the lease is hereby determined".
Now an insolvency notice has been posted on The Gazette - the official public record.
It reads: "Notice is hereby given that the directors of the company are convening a virtual meeting of creditors to be held on 4 October 2023 at 2.30pm, for the purpose of deciding on the nomination of a liquidator.
"Nominated Liquidator: Timothy James Heaselgrave (IP number 9193) of The Timothy James Partnership Limited, Kidderminster Road, Bromsgrove."

Mr Heaselgrave has been contacted for comment.
In an update on the firm's listing on Companies House, dated for September 20, there is a cessation and confirmation statement.
Joy Cox, who ran the firm with son Daniel Cox, is stated to no longer be a person of significant control.
The shareholding list has also been updated which reads that Mr Cox holds 50 shares, Rebecca Ruhback 50 shares and Ms Cox holds 0 shares as of September 19.
We visited the Blackpole site in August and found materials had been left out in the open in the same position they have been for weeks, and it looked like no one had been on the site since the doors were locked.
Attempts to contact the firm's owners have been unsuccessful.
The firm's website, d&jtimberbuildings.com, is still down and the firm's Facebook site cannot be accessed.
D&J Timber Buildings was included in our Trader of the Week feature in 2022 when the firm announced it was moving from premises to a new larger base.
The firm moved to Blackpole Trading Estate East 20 months ago.
