A 76-year-old has been fined after failing to identify the driver of a vehicle when asked by police.

West Mercia Police had asked Edward Dorrington to identify who had been driving a Kia vehicle in Droitwich on April 19.

But Worcester magistrates, as part of a single justice procedure on September 25, found he had failed to do so.

The driver of the car had been alleged to have to committed a driving offence.

Dorrington, of Sandringham Road, Morecambe, Lancashire, was fined £660 and had six points put on his licence.

He was also told to pay costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £264.
