AN ICONIC British lead singer will be meeting fans in Worcester as he brings his new spoken word show to a city venue.

Shaun Ryder, the lead vocalist of Happy Mondays and British cult hero, will be coming to Huntingdon Hall on Wednesday, October 9 in 2024.

Happy Mondays formed in Salford in 1980 are best known for songs such as Kinky Afro, Step On, Loose Fit and more.

The band has reformed on a number of occasions and Shaun Ryder has also enjoyed further success with Black Grape.

He has gone on a host of television shows such as I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, where he finished second behind Stacey Solomon.

Earlier this year, he returned to the show, this time in South Africa, where he was amongst the first two to leave the show, alongside Gillian McKeith.

He has also appeared been a fan favourite on the Channel 4 show Celebrity Gogglebox, where he appeared with bandmate and fellow 'Madchester' icon Bez.

Shaun Ryder follows an appearance from Bez, earlier this year at Huntingdon Hall, who also performed a DJ set at Firefly in Lowesmoor this year.

Tickets for the event start at £31.50, with two other ticket options including VIP seats and a goody bag for £51.50, and the meet and greet tickets with VIP seating for £81.50.
