AFTER Worcester was named among the top dog-friendliest places in the country we have been looking at the best places to take your dog in the country.

As we previously revealed the city came sixth in the rankings of major cities - judged on how much its hotels, restaurants, pubs and outdoor trails were accommodating to dogs. 

The Faithful city was ahead of cities including Gloucester, Plymouth and Chester. 

We have picked seven dog-friendly locations in the city to be in the spotlight:

 

Black & White

 

This cafe on The Foregate is often used by dog owners. 

One reviewer said: "I always have a fantastic brunch here, it's our favourite cafe in Worcester.

"It is dog-friendly and very accommodating. I would highly recommend it.

 

 

Francini Cafe Di Columbia

 

Francini's, in Angel Place, has received praise from dog owners.

One reviewer said: "An authentic place with Colombian people, with real food and coffee.

"They are dog-friendly too. The decorations and music are carefully selected to make you feel like you are really there."

Toast

 

Toast, at The Flyford in Flyford Flavell, is a family run breakfast and brunch restaurant based in a former school bus into a dining room.

A reviewer on dogfriendly.co.uk said: "Fantastic place for dogs and their 'pawrents'.

"We rocked up on a Saturday lunchtime and were fortunate enough to get a table due a no-show. We had the Full Toast and the Brunch Hash and both were absolutely delicious."

Wayland's Yard

 

Rated 5 out of 5 on dogfriendly.co.uk - this coffee shop in Foregate Street is only a few doors down from the train station. 

Reviewers said: "Great garden out the back. Dog friendly inside as well."

Another wrote: "Dogs and humans both get a really warm welcome".

 

 

Coffee#1

 

The national chain's shop in Pump Street, Worcester is dog friendly. 

As we reported in 2018, when the policy changed, the shop allows admittance of well-behaved dogs on leads only.

This Severn Street-based cafe writes on its website: "Did you know we’re  friendly - All furry friends welcome."

A Google review said: "I enjoyed brunch so much I went twice in a week.

"It's dog friendly, really appreciate being able to help yourself to tap water.

Stanbrook Abbey Hotel

 

This historic hotel in Callow End recently wrote on Facebook: "Time to live the woof life.
