MIDLANDS air ambulance is on the scene of a serious crash on the M5, which has left a man trapped.
The M5 has been closed between junctions 8 and 7 in both directions while emergency services deal with a car and lorry crash.
Three fire crews are working on rescuing one man who is trapped.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Three HWFR crews from Worcester, Droitwich and Evesham Fire Stations, along with two Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service crews, were called at 12.09pm on September 22 to a road traffic collision involving a large vehicle on the M5 Northbound between junctions 8 and 7.
"The incident involved an HGV and a car with a male casualty trapped and being extricated by crews.
"The incident is ongoing. Police, ambulance and Highways are all in attendance."
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police added: "Officers are currently at the collision on the M5 between Junction 7 and Junction 8.
"The collision is between a car and a lorry.
"Incident is ongoing."
