DEVASTATED staff spent just an hour on an activity which meant a city centre restaurant went from a one-star to a five-star food hygiene rating.
Ostlers At Number 1, on Severn Terrace, was given a one-star rating in May with owner Tommy Badham claiming it was due to paperwork not being up to date.
An inspection on Wednesday, September 13 saw the venue get the highest rating possible - five stars -according to the Food Standard website.
Inspectors scored the restaurant good across the board.
Mr Badham said he is extremely pleased with the good news.

"We are a family-run, independent, award-winning restaurant open five days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in the heart of the faithful city of Worcester," he said.
"Back in May, we were devastated to receive a one-star food hygiene rating, this was mainly due to the paperwork not being up to date.
"After the visit, we had the paperwork up to date within the hour, but it's a lengthy process to have a revisit."
This marked the restaurant's fifth anniversary which Mr Badham said has come with its ups and downs.

"On September 3, our business was five years old, we have been through a pandemic, fires, burglaries and flooding.
"This has been another hurdle and, as always, we can't thank the community for their support enough.
"We want to reassure our customers that we have and always will have the highest standards of hygiene and that is reflected in the quality of our food on offer.
"This was the first time Ostlers has been awarded 5 stars in at least the last decade.
"This is a huge achievement and I praise the staff for their hard work in achieving this."
One of the many issues the business faced for nearly a year in 2021 was blocked drains, which had drained his business.
Ostlers At Number 1 was crowned the Luxury Restaurant Of The Year winner at The Centre England Prestige Awards two years running.
This article has been amended to say that Ostlers has not received a five hygiene rating in the last decade. This is from the request of the owner, who wished to change part of their quote.
