A THICK black cloud of smoke could be seen rising from a sports pavilion during a fire.
Fire had broken out in the roof of the single-storey sports pavilion, just off Battenhall Road, sending a plume of smoke into the sky.
Neighbours were concerned to see the blaze and called the fire service who sent two crews from Worcester to the field at 6.50pm on last night (September 20).

People living opposite the site said they saw the smoke billowing into the sky and quickly called 999.
Firefighters put out the fire using two hose reel jets.
Police officers were also at the scene though nobody was hurt in the blaze.

The guide price was £115,000, but the 6.58-acre site sold for £330,000 at a packed auction house.
The site features parking, a pavilion and a storage shed.
It was unsure who had purchased the land.
The site had been leased to the University of Worcester, and at the end of the lease, university staff were instructed to remove all non-fixed items belonging to the University of Worcester from the pavilion and grounds store.
The promotional material for the sale in 2018 said 50 per cent of the access to the site, between the road and the gate and down the driveway, is owned by the university.
