A 36-YEAR-old man has admitted dangerous driving but denies lying to the police at the scene.
Martin Johnson, of Bowhill, Callow End, near Worcester, will now face a trial in the new year.
Johnson appeared in the dock of Courtroom 3 at Worcester Crown Court and admitted one count of driving a motor vehicle dangerous.
That offence took place on the A4440 Temeside Way and A449 Malvern Road when Johnson was at the wheel of a Volkswagen Transporter on September 13 last year.
Johnson denied a count of committing an act / series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

The judge told Johnson if he drove while disqualified on any public road during the ban period, he would be commiting an offence which carried a custodial sentence.
Johnson, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his trial which is to be placed in a warned list from January 2.
Judge Jackson explained that meant in the two-week period after that date his trial could be called on at any time so he needed to be ready and in contact with his lawyers.
Ben Close prosecuted while James Griffiths defended during the hearing at the court on Wednesday, (September 12).
