SIGNAGE for a coffee chain has gone up on a former stationery shop.
Costa Coffee is opening a new outlet in the former Paperchase shop in Worcester High Street which has been empty since the stationery provider closed earlier this year after going into administration.
The Costa Coffee sign can now be seen above the door.
An electric advertising board was up and working and the opening times - 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday; 8am to 8pm on Saturdays and 9am to 5pm on Sundays - are displayed on the front door.
A workman with a high-vis jacket could be seen inside where seating and a serving counter appeared to be in and ready for use.
The chain already has a shop in High Street opposite the Guildhall, next to the Odeon Cinema in Foregate Street and in St Martin’s Quarter.
But a spokesperson for Costa Coffee said in July: "We can confirm that we are moving our Costa Coffee store from 31 High Street, to just down the street on 51 High Street, Worcester.
"We’re excited to open the doors of the new store in late autumn, offering customers an uplifted, bright design with modern furniture."

Paperchase went into administration in January this year, putting all of its 106 stores under threat.
The struggling stationery shop had been on the brink of administration a year earlier with most of its stores closed over Christmas because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
