A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a woman who failed to turn up for court.
Gemma Payne, of Britannia Road, Worcester, was scheduled to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (September 7).
But when the 28-year-old's case was called on Payne did not appear.
Payne is accused of one charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
The prosecution says she committed the offence on August 10 in Malvern, Payne allegedly assaulting PC Sean Penney.
Chairman of the magistrates bench, Kevin Lloyd-Wright, granted a warrant after an application from prosecutor Mark Hambling.
