AN ALLEGED burglar was arrested a mile and a half away from the crime scene.
Members of the Neighbourhood Crimefighting Team (NCFT) in Worcester, part of West Mercia Police, responded to a burglary in Hallow this morning (Thursday, September 7).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said a woman had her handbag stolen from The House Doctor Carpet Warehouse in Hallow Road.
Dashcam footage submitted to the Worcester News shows a police car on St John's (road), in the suburb of St John's, where the arrest took place.

A spokesperson for the NCFT said: "NCFT attended in numbers, identified a suspect and quickly arrested a 45-year-old male from Hallow on suspicion of burglary.
"Thankfully, the victim had her bag given back to her shortly after the incident took place. Police aren’t looking for anyone else."
