A BURGLARY suspect has been arrested after police responded 'in numbers' to reports a woman had had her handbag stolen.
Members of the Neighbourhood Crimefighting Team (NCFT) in Worcester, part of West Mercia Police, responded to a burglary in Hallow this morning (Thursday).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said a woman had her handbag stolen from The House Doctor Carpet Warehouse in Hallow Road.
"NCFT attended in numbers, identified a suspect and quickly arrested a 45-year-old male from Hallow on suspicion of burglary.
"Thankfully, the victim had her bag given back to her shortly after the incident took place. Police aren’t looking for anyone else," a spokesperson for the NCFT said.
