THIS is the dramatic moment a group standing outside a city shop came inches away from being ploughed into by a car.
The crash was captured by Gresham Road resident Brett Dawkes' CCTV, who lives opposite the Co-op shop.
He said the group standing outside, which also included children, "could have been killed" in the crash which took place at 3.40pm on Tuesday afternoon (September 6).
The black vehicle, understood to be a Volkswagen, can be seen arriving at the junction with Shakespeare Road, with the Co-op shop on the corner.

The car turns sharply but misses the road to the right hitting a wooden bollard, flipping into the air before clipping another bollard and coming to a rest inches before the group of at least six people are standing.
After the crash occupants of the car fled the scene in a cloud of smoke.
Mr Dawkes said: "I was downstairs when it happened - it sounded like an earthquake.
"It is shocking - it is lucky no one died."
Worcester News has contacted West Mercia Police for an update but is waiting for a response.
