Cases recently heard at Worcester Magistrates Court

CHRISTOPHER KEYLOCK, of Cleeve Prior Travellers Site, Evesham Road, near Evesham, is accused of several motoring offences.

The 54-year-old is accused of driving a Ford Ranger on the A44 Evesham Road and A46 Evesham bypass dangerously; driving while disqualified and with no insurance. 

The prosecution alleges Keylock committed the offences on January 26 this year in tailgating an ambulance. 

But Keylock denies the offences telling the court he had not been driving at the time or informed the authorities he had been driving. 

Keylock will face a trial on the afternoon of November 20. 

MICHAEL KERSHAW, of Tolladine Road, Worcester, admitted theft of a pedal cycle.

That offence took place on July 22, Kershaw stealing a pedal cycle worth £385 in Worcester. 

The 56-year-old denies two other thefts of a pedal cycle, those alleged to have taken place on July 3 and July 5 in Worcester. 

Kershaw's trial will take place on July 31. 

CHARLOTTE OLIVER, of Shawcross Walk, Port Street, Evesham, admitted two charges of assault by beating of emergency workers (police officers). 

Both offences took place on March 18 this year. 

The 24-year-old was given a one-year community order with a requirement to complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days, 

Oliver was ordered to pay £100 in compensation, a fine of £180, costs of £100 and £114 victim surcharge.

JAMES MACKINNON, of Lavender Road, Worcester, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis. 

The 46-year-old committed the offence in Worcester on August 3. 

Mackinnon was disqualified from driving for a year and fined £576.

Mackinnon was ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £230. 

ERNEST PECK, 76, of Chestnut Close, Evesham, admitted drink driving.

Peck was caught in a Ford Focus in Main Street, Aldington near Evesham on August 6. 

The evidential sample given was 72mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Peck was disqualified from driving for 18 months but he was given the chance to do the drink drive course to reduce the ban length. 

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and £48 victim surcharge. 

ALEXANDRU BORDEI POTORACA, of Vauxhall Street, Worcester, admitted drink driving. 

Potoraca committed the offence while driving a Vauxhall Vectra on Lansdowne Crescent, Worcester, on August 8. 

The 33-year-old gave an evidential sample of 56mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Potoraca was banned from driving for 16 months but was given the chance to take the drink-drive awareness course to reduce the ban length. 

Potoraca was fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and victim surcharge of £200.
