A MAN has been injured at a city music festival after falling on a fence.

West Mercia Police were called to WooTown at Sixways Stadium in Worcester on Saturday, August 26.

There were initial fears that a man had sustained a stab wound but police discovered this was not the case on arrival.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We responded to a report of a male with an injury under his arm and believed at first that it was a stab wound.

"What had actually happened was he fell onto a fence which caused the injury.

"He went to hospital for further treatment and there was no further concern of any offences taking place."
