A BREATHTAKING photograph of a woman staring out across a beautiful vista captured by a Worcestershire holidaymaker has been displayed on the London Eye.
Melissa Benhamou, of Bromsgrove, was one of 25 winners to have her work displayed at the iconic city capital city landmark from a nationwide lastminute.com photography competition.
The competition win was a welcomed boost for Melissa, who has been dealing with some tragic family news.

She said: “Me and my friends decided to go away as we hadn’t seen each other in a long time so booked an apartment in Lanzarote and went on a last minute trip, we hired a car and drove to this fantastic viewpoint up in the hills.
"It was truly breathtaking. Unfortunately, less than a week after I got back I received the terrible news that my mom is terminally ill.”
She received a £250 voucher from the company to inspire future travels and travelled to London to see the photo on display with her mother.
Upon winning, she said: “It means the world to me, I never win anything and I have had the year from hell.
"I’m in my third year of my nursing degree so I’m finding it very hard to take time out for myself right now.”
The travel website launched the search for the best photos from around the world as part of the brand’s 25-year anniversary celebrations.

With more than 1,000 entries from across the UK, the most popular theme for images was time spent with family and friends.
The second most popular theme was special occasions and romantic moments, such as proposals (40 per cent).
Nearly four in ten images were of natural wonders, such as beaches and sunsets. Paris was the most photographed location within the entries outside of London.
