THE NEWEST housing development in UK's most desirable village has sold over half its homes.
Developer Spitfire Homes, appointed by the county-based estate agent Nicol & Co, has been building 45 homes in Ombersley, just north of Woodhall Lane.
For decades the five-acre plot of land was home to a cottage and several outbuildings before they were demolished to make way for the new development.

The site has also most recently opened the doors to its four-bedroom detached show home.
The Woodchester show home is part of a collection of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom design-led properties, with prices ranging from £300,000 to £900,000
All homes at Faber feature efficient air source heat pumps, EV charging points and underfloor heating as standard.
Matt Vincent, Sales Director at Spitfire Homes, said: “We are really excited to launch our brand new show home at Faber, Ombersley.

"The Woodchester is an ideally designed four-bedroom home which can accommodate a variety of lifestyles, something that is really important as demand for property continues to rise in the area.
“This latest collection of energy-saving, sustainable properties also demonstrates our commitment to the environment and supporting the communities we operate in.
“We’ve already seen a lot of interest in these homes, with over half of properties already reserved on site.”
When it is finished, the development will feature a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes, some of which will be affordable housing.
Wychavon District Council granted planning permission for the Ombersley site in December 2021 despite a number of objections from Ombersley residents.
They complained that the number of homes proposed for the site had increased to 45 from an initial 25.
As part of its commitment to the area, Spitfire Homes is providing funding towards Westacre Middle School and the provision of a home to school transport service, as well as improving public open spaces and sports pitches.
Around £250,000 has been put towards the local area and community support.
The homebuilder has also partnered with a range of local businesses on the scheme, from showcasing artwork throughout the show home to promoting gift vouchers and prizes through social media competitions.
